What is Spiriva used for?

How do I take Spiriva Respimat? 

This medication should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor for effective management of asthma or COPD. The color of the cap indicates the strength of that inhaler. Instructions for when you use your inhaler for the first time:

1. Pull off the clear base while the cap is closed
2. Push the narrow edge of the Respimat cartridge into the inhaler and do not remove after insertion
3. Place the clear base back on
4. Prime the inhaler prior to use by keeping the cap on and turning the clear base until you hear a click
5. Open the cap and face away from the inhaler and then press the ‘dose release’ button
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 three more times for a total of 4 priming sprays
7. The inhaler is now ready for use and does not need to be primed again (unless it has been more than 3 days since your last dose)
